Dear Madam/ Sir

We would like to present our compliments and the honour to refer to the African Chambers of Commerce conference held in November 25-26, 2009, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The conference deliberated on pertinent issues of African private sector. The conference stressed on the urgent need to strengthen the Pan African Chamber of Commerce and, to that effect, resolved an extra ordinary meeting be organized to facilitate the revitalization of the existing Pan African Chamber of Commerce established in 2005.   

The Conference set up an Interim Committee with the responsibility of organizing the Extra Ordinary General Assembly in collaboration with the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Association (ECCSA). The Interim Committee met on April 4, 2009 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the Ethiopian Chambers of Commerce and Sectoral Association conference hall and suggested that the Extra Ordinary General Assembly meeting be held on July 6-7, in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. 

The Interim Committee as an organizing body is pleased to cordially invite you to this historic conference and request your active participation in revitalizing our continental Chamber of Commerce.

Sujet: Réunion Extraordinaire des Chambres Africaines

Nous aimerons présenter nos compliments et nous avons l'honneur de faire référence à la conférence des Chambres de Commerce Africaines qui a eu lieu le 25 et le 26 Novembre 2009, à Addis-Abeba, Ethiopie. La conférence a discuté sur les questions pertinentes du secteur privé africain. La conférence a insisté sur la nécessité urgente de renforcer la Chambre de Commerce Panafricaine. Pour cela, nous avions décidé d’organiser une réunion extraordinaire afin de faciliter la revitalisation de la Chambre de Commerce Panafricaine existante créé en 2005.

La Conférence a mis en place un comité intérimaire responsable de l'organisation de l'Assemblée Générale Extraordinaire en collaboration avec la Chambre de Commerce de l'Éthiopie et l’Association sectorielle (CCEAS). Le Comité s'est réuni le 4 avril 2009 à Addis-Abeba, en Éthiopie, dans la salle de conférence de la Chambre de Commerce de l’Éthiopie et l’Association Sectorielle. Le comité a suggéré qu’une Assemblée Générale Extraordinaire soit organisée pour le 6-7 Juillet à Addis-Abeba, en Ethiopie.

Le comité intérimaire, organisateur, est heureux de vous inviter à cette conférence historique et demande votre participation active à la revitalisation de notre Chambre de Commerce continental.
